Baháʼís of
Red Deer
Welcome to the official website of the Baháʼís of Red Deer, Alberta. The Bahá’ís of Red Deer work alongside their friends and neighbours in all parts of Red Deer to apply the teachings of Bahá’u’lláh to their lives and community.
Meet the Baháʼís?
Who Are the Bahá’ís?
Bahá’ís are followers of Bahá’u’lláh, whose teachings call for the oneness of humanity, the elimination of prejudice, the unity of religions, the equality of women and men, and systems of governance that promote justice and wellbeing.
Through His Covenant with humankind, Bahá’u’lláh appointed His son, ‘Abdu’l-Bahá, as the Centre of the Covenant and established an Administrative Order that unites and channels the community’s efforts toward building a peaceful, united world.
What We Strive For
In Red Deer, the Bahá’í community reflects Canada’s rich cultural diversity. Our members come from many backgrounds but share one purpose: fostering both spiritual and material progress. We work to nurture vibrant, inclusive neighbourhoods where every person can contribute to the wellbeing of the whole.
How We Live Our Faith
Our community life is shaped by activities for people of all ages:
-
Children’s classes that encourage cooperation, empathy, and moral understanding.
-
Youth programs that explore spiritual concepts, creativity, and service.
-
Devotional gatherings where friends and neighbours share prayers, reflect, and build bonds of friendship.
-
Study circles that deepen understanding and develop practical skills for improving society.
We also join with like-minded groups to address local needs and host Holy Day celebrations, festivals, and special events that bring people together in a spirit of unity and joy.
